Had to comment, my Grandpa, your Uncle Clyde was very active with the unions, the UAW, I heard he was on the goon squad. He was a big guy, 6'2", not many people messed with him. YOUR Grandpa used to call him to come meet him after he won money gambling, so he wouldn't get robbed. I did hear he stopped a man from beating his wife, she ran into my grandparents home for protection. But I only knew him as Grandpa, that loved to take us to the park, and loved to garden. His Grandfather was secretary of Agriculture for Tenn. His father worked on the Agriculture Train for Tenn. While he was gone, at age 9 he was running the farm. When we moved to Indiana he asked my Dad for a plot of land to garden. He had one great garden that year!
